Newsletter 12 – Summer Term 20th July 2017

Message from Mrs Smith
How quickly time passes and already we have reached the end of another very busy and rewarding year. I would like to thank all our families and friends for supporting school in so many different ways. We are very proud of the children and know that they will continue to shine as they continue their learning in our school or in the juniors.
On a personal note, the staff and I would like to offer our sincere gratitude to you for the kind gifts, cards and messages of thanks we have received. We appreciate the time it has taken to do this at what we know is a very busy time of year.
The staff have been working hard getting to know their new classes and look forward to the exciting things which have been planned for the coming year. Until then, we wish you a long and restful summer with plenty of sunshine and happiness.

Whole School Homework
Reading – Please encourage your child to practise their reading during the holidays not forgetting the reading tips which we told you about on Newsletter 10. You could also take part in the Reading Challenge at Wickersley Library.
Literacy – If you are going on holiday, send a postcard to a friend or relative and help your grown up to write it. If you can, write it yourself!
Play – Have a fabulous time playing in the garden or the park, enjoy the sunshine and eat lots of ice cream!

Class 9 has achieved a level of 99.1% and is ‘Class of the Week’. Well done!

Also, Provide Education, the company who supply our school with staff cover, has donated a scooter, as an attendance incentive, to give to one of our super attendees.
