FS1 Happy Home Learning
We have been learning to count how many objects are in a set. Ask your child to help you set the table counting the number of people eating and how many knives, forks, spoons etc you will need
Foundation 2 Homework
Literacy -This week Barnaby Bear has been visiting Italy! Can you draw a picture of him eating a delicious pizza and label it? Label the toppings on your pizza too! Maths – We have been practising adding 2 amounts together. Can you practise counting 2 groups of objects, then count all of them to find the total? You might even be able to record this as a number sentence in your homework book.
Year 1 Homework
Maths
Practice forming numerals 1 to 10, correctly. Please make sure they are the right way round and all the same size.
Literacy
Choose an item of technology such as a TV, computer, washing machine or microwave. Write a list of questions about how they were made and how they work. Please remember to use capital letters and question marks correctly. Remember that capital letters should be taller than lower case letters.
Year 2 Homework
Spellings – I’m, it’s, can’t, don’t, didn’t, couldn’t, shouldn’t, wouldn’t
Maths – Visit the Topmarks website, click bar charts 6-11, make a graph, answer the question
Topic – Can you research some top shark facts in readiness for our literacy learning next week?
Spelling, Punctuation & Grammar (SPaG)
Your child will bring an important booklet home today containing the terminology and definitions they are using in their Literacy work
Half Term Fun
Wickersley Library are holding a Harry Potter Extravaganza on Tuesday 9th February from 3pm until 5pm. The fun will include an awesome Sorting Hat Ceremony, Spellcasting duels, guess the potion ingredients and much more! Fancy dress is encouraged so please come in your best witch/wizard/muggle attire!
Suitable for ages 4-12 years and completely FREE. Booking is essential so parents need to phone the library on 01709 544134 to reserve places.
Parent Charter
Our next parent charter meeting will take place at the infant school on Friday 26th February
at 9.15am. Please come along if you can. The following parents have been nominated as charter champions and are able to raise any questions/subjects on your behalf which will then be discussed at the meetings and feedback given.

Help Needed!
As part of our maths provision in foundation Stage we are making sets of games/activities for children to take home. We are in need of some simple drawstring bags to store/carry these in. If anyone could help us by making some of these we would be very grateful and all materials will be provided. If you can help us (or know someone who could) please let the office staff know. Thank You.

‘Keeping Cyber Savvy’ – Thursday 4th February – 3pm at the Junior School or 5pm at the Infant school
Come & find out more about how to keep you and your children safe on line when using social media, facebook, twitter & games such as mine craft. The sessions are led by Ann F Johnson (an expert in this field) Ann can also advise how to set parental controls on smartphones and make games consoles and apps such as snapchat and what’s app more secure. Please put your name down at the school office.
