Music Lead

I am Mrs Goulding and I lead Music in school.  I believe Music is a unique way of communicating which can inspire and motivate children. It is a vehicle for personal expression and plays an important role in the personal development of each child. I love to teach and play music and it is my ambition to one day to learn to play the piano.

‘We can sing forte and piano.  Clapping the pulse is easy but clapping the rhythm is tricky!’

The children were experimenting with the timbre of different percussion instruments and describing the quality of sound that the different instruments made.

‘Music is fun.  We get to learn to play the glockenspiel on Fridays.  I can play ‘Twinkle Twinkle’.  It goes CCGGAAG. Watch. I’m getting good at it now!’  Bradley

Reception children performed a coronation song that they had composed themselves along with God Save the King as part of our mock Coronation in school.
