Happy Home Learning
We have been learning lots of nursery rhymes over the past few weeks. Please practise them at home. Which one is your favourite?
FS2
Literacy – It is a very special day on Sunday "Mothers Day". Can you write about why you love your Mummies?
Number – We still need lots of practise in writing numbers the correct way round. Can we write numbers from 0 to 20 and really concentrate on the correct formation?
Year 1 Homework
Phonics – Can you review the phases of phonics in the reading diary? Can you recognise the digraph/trigraph and use it in a word?
Numeracy – Can you plot the following information on a Venn diagram.
Peas, sprouts, cabbage, lettuce, cucumber, tomato, orange, apple, grapes & cherry

Spellings – asked, make, any, many, saw, here
Phonics – Have a think about verbs (doing words) e.g. bake, swim, run. Can you put three verbs into a sentence? Write a few sentences with different verbs. As extra thinking, could you also add an adverb?
Maths – We have been learning about fractions. Can you make a pizza or jam sandwich and ½ & ¼ it?
Class of the week 10th –14th March
Miss Dawson’s class have achieved 100% attendance and we are very proud of them. They are class of the week for the second week running. Well done.
FABSS
Easter Eggstravaganza – Wednesday 9th April from 3:30pm
There are still a few places left for the Easter Egg Hunt, to book either visit www.fabss.org.uk or call 07948 998236. As well as the egg hunt there are games, crafts and refreshments. We are hoping to have a bun stall and if you are able to donate any buns or cakes we would be very grateful. Please take to either school reception on the morning of the 9th April.
Next FABSS meeting Wednesday 2nd April, 5pm in the Infant School. This will be our Annual General Meeting where we evaluate the past year and elect a committee. All are welcome.
Parent Consultation Evenings
Parent consultations will take place during the final week of term. Time sheets are now displayed in your child’s classroom for you to select a time that suits you best.
Morrison’s Easter Colouring Competition
Please remember to send in your Easter artwork before Friday 4th April. Your child can draw, paint or make a collage related to Easter which will then be collected by a representative from Morrison’s. Please make sure that the picture is clearly labelled with your child’s name, age and school.
