Newsletter 3 Autumn Term – 21st September
Happy Home Learning
This week we have been encouraging the children to put on their own coat. Please help your child giving them time to practice putting their hoods on their heads and sliding their arms in their coat. If your child can already put on their coat, please encourage them to zip/fasten their coat. Thank you.
Foundation Stage 2
In literacy we have reminding ourselves of how to hold a pencil correctly. Can the children draw a picture of themselves and their family members? When they have done this can they have a go at writing their own name and their family’s names too, remembering the correct pencil grip.
In numeracy we have been thinking about matching the correct numeral and quantity. Draw a box with 6 spaces for the children and write numbers to 5 (e.g. below). Ask the children to draw the correct number of objects. The children can choose what objects they’d like to draw eg cupcakes, apples, ice creams.eg

0 1 2 3 4 5

School Crossing Patrol
As part of the review of service in 2016 a commitment was made to a regular survey of the established sites. Therefore, school crossing patrol surveys will take place across Rotherham in the coming weeks. The surveys take the form of a pedestrian and vehicle count which is achieved by the use of cameras and monitoring by technicians.
We would like to reassure any parents or pupils who may notice surveillance activities in and around school in the coming weeks that these have been formally commissioned with an approved contractor, TRACSIS UK and that all surveillance data captured by the cameras will be stored securely and will only be used for the purposes of this survey.
