Happy Home Learning

We would like you to practise our rhyme Old MacDonald. Can you remember the Makaton signs for the animals and show them to your grown up?

Foundation 2 Homework

Literacy – This week we have enjoyed a fabulous visit to the farm! Can you write a sentence in your homework book about your favourite part of our farm visit?

Maths – In maths we are focusing on numbers 11 to 20. Can you practise forming these numbers and putting them in the right order?

Year 1 Homework

Maths – Please practise writing numbers to 10 and 20, in numerals and words.

Literacy – Can you write a list of questions that you would like to find the answer to on our visit to Bridlington Lifeboat House and Flamborough Lighthouse next week?

Year 2 Homework

Spellings – walking, eating, looking, talking, laughed, called, walked, asked.

Maths – Can you solve the missing number calculations on ‘Hit the Button’ www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/hit-the-button.

Number bonds – select ‘up to 10’ or ‘up to 20’ – missing numbers (+ and -)

Literacy – Please retell your favourite part of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. E.g. It could be when Augustus Gloop gets stuck up the pipe or when Violet Beauregarde turns into a blueberry. Remember to use conjunctions, noun phrases and different sentence types (statements, questions, commands and exclamations).

London Marathon

On Sunday, Mrs Day, one of our parents is taking part in the London Marathon to raise money for The Yorkshire Air Ambulance in memory of Miss Dawson. We will be cheering her on and wish her all the best as she takes on this challenge. We look forward to hearing about her experience next week once she has got her breath back! Any donations would be gratefully accepted and should be made at www.justgiving.com/gail-day. We thank you for your support.

Morrison’s Easter Art Competition

We are very proud of three of our pupils who entered their beautiful pictures into the competition organised my Morrisons. We congratulate Katy Lyons – Class 8, Jackson Knapton – Class 5 and Hannah Pilgrim – Class 8, who each received a £5 gift voucher to use in the store. Very well done!

Non uniform day

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II celebrates her 90th birthday today. As part of the celebrations we are inviting all the children to wear party clothes for school tomorrow. We are sure that the children will enjoy dressing up for this special occasion and look forward to seeing how beautiful they look in their outfits.
