Happy Home Learning
Red Team – This week we have a new role play area focusing on the importance of breakfast. We would love you to share photographs of you all eating breakfast at home. What is your favorite breakfast?

We have also been learning the number 5, can you find the number 5 when you’re out and about on your adventures this weekend.

Foundation Stage 2
Literacy – In Literacy this week we have been watching clips from the Toy Story film. For your homework can you make a box model or a stick puppet of your favourite character from the film. Eg. Woody, Buzz Lightyear.
Number – Last week for your homework you made a number line from 0 to 10 or 20. This week can you make a number line starting from 10 or 20 and write the numbers backwards to 0.
Year 1
Reading – Please read your reading books. (Remember three reads will earn you a stamp).
Spellings – said my come where what want little baby asked mummy didn’t
Check you can spell each word by writing it in a sentence.
Maths – We have been learning about halving. Can you halve a shape or number of objects? Can you tell the story. E.g I started with one whole shape/number. I split/shared it into two equal parts. Half is ___. You could draw some shapes and colour half or you could record the number story like this…

Topic – Please bring a small plastic bottle or yoghurt pot to school on Monday for our D & T work.
Year 2
Spellings – cried, dried, tried, copied, replied
Maths – This week we are learning about the value of coins. We are making amounts and finding totals. Can you go to a shop with a grown-up and buy something using real money? Take photos or draw pictures of the item you bought and what coins you used.
Literacy – Read a traditional story that includes a troll or a giant. What adjectives or expanded noun phrases could you use to describe the troll or giant?
Class of the Week – 30th January to 3rd February
Congratulations to Class 8 who have achieved an attendance level of 99.3%. Well done!
Lost Property
Lost property will be on the stage in the school hall until the end of Friday. Any unclaimed items will be sent to recycling. Thank you
Lantern Walk
On Thursday 23rd February there will be a Lantern Walk in Bramley organised by the Parish Council. The event begins at 5pm at the Bill Chafer Community Centre, Flash Lane, Bramley with lantern making. Free refreshments are available including pie and peas or hotdogs. All children must be accompanied by an adult and booking is essential by calling 01709 334717.

Cycle Hub
The Cycle Hub is coming to Bramley during Half Term. The service offers Free Dr Bike repair, free cycle training, and free bike hire all for adults and children. The cycle HUB will be on Flash Lane in the car park of the Bill Chafer Youth centre on 22nd February for 10am to 2pm.
Wickersley Kids Club
Wickersley Kids Club will be holding a holiday club during half term week which will include a day trip to Clumber Park. The cost for the holiday club is £20 per child per day, and £25 per child for the trip. If you want to book a place, please do so quickly as trip days are limited.
Payment NEEDS to be made on the day of your booking, in order to secure your place. No booking can be made WITHOUT payment. Please call between the working hours of 7.30-9.00am and 2.00-6.00pm. The visa machine will be shut down around 5.55pm
