Sloop the Seagull
Year 2 had an exciting visit from an author called Ruth Cooper. She shared her wonderful story called ‘Sloop the Seagull’ with the children and explained how her ideas developed from visits to the seaside. The children asked Ruth lots of questions about what it is like to be a real author! Now the children in Year 2 have lots of ideas for writing their own stories.
If you would like to buy an autographed copy of ‘Sloop the Seagull’, please order at the school office and make the payment of £5.
Guidance on Difficult Topics
In light of recent events in Manchester and London, the NSPCC has produced guidance for parents to discuss such matters with any child who may be asking questions or is worried about the events that have happened. Information can be found at www.nspcc.org.uk
