Happy Home Learning
This week we have enjoyed our visit to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park. Can you draw a picture of your favourite part of the day? Which were your favourite animals and why? We would love to see your happy home learning in school next week.

FS2 Homework
We had a wonderful time at Yorkshire Wildlife Park this week. Please encourage your child to talk about their favourite animal and why they liked them best. Please ask your child to draw the animal and label it.
In numeracy, we have been learning about 2D shapes. Please ask your child to look around the house and find objects that are circles, squares, rectangles and triangles. They can record this in their homework book.

Easter Bonnet Parades
It’s time to get busy making Easter Bonnets for our parades next week which will take place on Thursday for Foundation Stage and Friday for Year 1 and Year 2. We can’t wait to see your beautiful creations and there will be a prize for the best hat in each class.

Class of the Week – 5th March to 9th March
Congratulations to the Class of the Week, Class 7 who attained a level of 99.3%. Unit 2 & Unit 3 also deserve a special mention, as both classes were very close, each attaining a level of 99.2%

Sport Relief Week
Next week we are looking forward to taking part in Sport Relief 2018. We have something active planned for the children every day.
‘Mile on Monday’
On Monday all children and staff will run, jog or walk a mile (20 laps of our playground!). Children can come in non-uniform on Monday and might choose to wear some sporty clothes and trainers and bring a voluntary donation to sport relief.
Dance Tuesday
On Tuesday, Janet Mitchell School of Dance will be in school and all classes will attend a dance workshop throughout the day. There are some exciting sessions planned for us which complement our current topics.
Workout Wednesday
The children will be taking part in circuit training on Wednesday with teaching staff from Wickersley School and Sports College. They will access a range of activities to keep them active and support their fitness levels.
Football Thursday
On Thursday we have RUFC coaches in school to host football workshops for all children. We can’t wait for this one!
Fitness Friday
On Friday we will be taking part in the ‘Body Coach’ Joe Wickes’ sessions. He will be hosting live tutorials online for children (and staff) to follow.

Behaviour Ladder Questionnaire
Thank you to everyone who took the time to complete the questionnaire, there were 72 returned to school. The vast majority of responses would like to be contacted at the Yellow stage of the behaviour ladder at the end of the school day. Therefore, should your child arrive at the Yellow Stage of the ladder, the class teacher will speak to you at the end of the day. In some instances you may receive a text or phone call from your child’s class teacher, depending on the circumstances.
We are pleased that majority of our children have talked about the behavioural ladder at home and understand the expectations we have in school for learning time, assemblies, play-times and lunch-times and that you, as parents are happy with the behaviour and well-being of the children whilst in our care. Thank you once again for your input.

Lunch Menu
There will be a new lunch menu when we return after the Easter Holidays. Please see attached. Thank you
