FS2 Homework
Literacy – This week we have been learning about the amazing super hero Batman! Batman has been captured and handcuffed to the roof. Please can you help your child/ren to write three or more instructions to help get him down and save him? (E.g. get a ladder; take his handcuffs off, climb back down the ladder).
Number – We have been learning about money this week and coin recognition. Can you set up a little toy shop with your own toys and play at buying and selling them? You could also draw a picture of the toys you are selling in your homework book and write some price tags for them.
Year 1 Homework

Free School Meals
As you are aware every child in the Infants will receive a free school meal from September and has the opportunity of benefiting from the nutritional, varied
menu that is on offer, including two hot choices and the option of a chilled choice meal daily.
The Local Authority also ensures that the menu offers the following:-
At least two portions of fruit and vegetables daily.
Food which is free from artificial colours and flavourings.
Keep cooking salt to an absolute minimum.
Fresh produce daily.
Oven bake where possible.
Provide a maximum of two deep fried products a week.
Ensure salad, bread, fresh fruit, yoghurt and milk are available everyday.
IMPORTANT
Please remember if you are on low income or qualify for certain benefits, you still need to apply for free school meals to ensure that your child is eligible to access a wide range of activities free of charge or at a substantially reduced rate (i.e. after school clubs, extended services holiday clubs, school visits etc).
In addition, the school receives an additional payment into the school budget from the government Pupil Premium Fund, for every child whose application is successful. This funding will impact directly on the support and educational experiences we can provide. To ensure your claim is in place for September, please apply now at rotherham.gov.uk or call 01709 336006.
